BIO

I am PhD student at the Management Faculty, University of Warsaw. I got master’s degree at Psychology, University of Warsaw. I was always interested how increased team work, how to increased skills which are needed at work. That is the reason why I chose my specialisation path at Psychology, it was Economic Psychology and Supporting Personality Development. I was trying to combine both psychology and business. After master’s degree I decided to do PhD studies at Management Faculty because I knew that I need more knowledge from the business background.

Feedback

In August 2013 I was participating in the project called Manager Shadowing Across the Border. I spent two weeks in company called Bookassist. It was amazing time, full of a wide variety of experiences. I learned how works company which prepares on-line strategy for hotels. I was treated as a member of a team so I was participating in all tasks. Depending on task, different employee were showing me what they do and how company works. People who were responsible for coordinating each task in the firm were teaching me how to do them properly and were showing what kind of influence it has for the company. I had a chance to ask a lot and every of employee were open to answer my questions.

After this internship I gained both specialist and soft skills. I feel more confident working in foreign environment, with new team members and new fieldwork. Also it was valuable to found out that I am able to manage in foreign country.

Now for me it is clear what responsibilites has manager in this kind of company. I know the base of process of working for the hotels and how to build strategy for them.

I highly recommend taking part in this project! It was great opportunity to learn in very friendly way.
