That is why, I personally think, that this program can provide me inside to a managerial life that is for the professional development as the student so essential. The Manager Shadowing Across the Border program offers me a unique opportunity to work in one of most beautiful city of  Europe – Prague and most importantly enable me to better prepare myself for management positions under the top manager´s supervisory. Moreover, the fact that top managers from the best companies are willing to give us their advises and experience on real-working projects only underline, how enriching this program actually is. I am convinced that Shadowing across borders will also help me, get to know with the new friends all around the Central Europe and eventually acquire valuable working experience.“

Feedback

From 11.08.2013 – 24.08.2013 I had opportunity throughout Business Leaders Forum to do an internship in Microsoft subsidiary in Czech Republic. Program was named Manager Shadowing Across the Border and aim of the program was to get to know top managers and their day to day responsibilities. Program offered students several interesting companies from various fields. Nevertheless, I have chosen Microsoft as IT worldwide leading company with almost 150 full time employees in Czech Republic.

Ever since, I have started my first day at Microsoft, I found working environment extremely open to discuss different topics and very innovative in deed. As one of my main responsibilities included working on Corporate Social Report for Slovakia, first of such kind. CSR report focused on various activities via Microsoft Slovakia supports young ambitious students, improves education, helps disabled children and other people with disadvantages. Furthermore, except of this work I had plenty of opportunities to get to know many interesting insides from company, various products, managerial responsibilities as well as be one of the few that tried Windows 8.1.

On the other side, since Microsoft Czech republic is settled in the capital of the Czech Republic, it offers very international culture with well-known Prague´s beautiful scenery. During my two weeks, I have not only acquire experience but also managed to seen most of Prague’s top sightseeing’s.

Thanks to this initiative, I have learned a lot useful lessons for my future professional career as well as get many connection and made many friends.
